Collins Aerospace is hiring for an Integrated & Intelligent Products Director in Everett, WA. This candidate will lead a global team and portfolio of advanced technologies in the areas of embedded systems, wireless connectivity, electronics hardware, software and data science that will enable substantial growth and/or engineering efficiency within the Collins Aerospace Interiors organization. The portfolio will include diverse projects with significant scope, technology diversity and organizational complexity. The Interiors Intelligent Products Manager in the Advanced Technologies & Laboratories organization will focus on developing innovative technologies and creative digital solutions that will help to define the future of the air travel and cabin experience.

This position will be an onsite position with a preferred location to be at our Everett WA facility; however we are willing to consider other approved Collins facilities and relocation for the right candidate.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage a global team of engineers and drive key initiatives in the area connected cabins, intelligent products, highly-integrated embedded systems, and communication technology.
  • Creation and maintain strategic roadmaps related to intelligent cabin products and execution of technology development projects to deliver the defined customer value and business benefits.
  • Coordination with cross-organizational resources (e.g. Research, Engineering, Product Strategy, Operations, Marketing) within any part of the business to define desired customer requirements and business benefits.
  • Coordination and technical guidance of global multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Create and drive a collaborative environment to work with fellows and other experts, to provide technical guidance and review for all aspects of the innovation project, in a variety of technical areas (e.g. mechanical, electro-magnetic, electrical, software, systems)
  • Coordination of program based activities from multiple internal and external organizations, including Raytheon Technologies Research Center and other partners.
  • Guiding, mentoring and training employees to help them identify and solve intelligent design problems, and enhance their skills and capabilities.

Basic Qualifications

  • Typically, a Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 10+ years of years of material, chemical, mechanical, aerospace or systems engineering experience OR
  • Advanced Degree in a related STEM field and 7+ years of material, chemical, mechanical, aerospace or systems engineering experience
  • 5+ years in a technical leadership role requiring coordination between multidisciplinary and global groups/organizations.
  • 3+ years of experience working with platform-based development of digital, electronics and software product solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Aerospace materials and testing, including metal alloys, aerospace composites, thermoplastics, polyurethane coated fabrics.
  • Experienced with destructive testing and nondestructive inspection.
  • FTIR Spectroscopy, Testing and Analysis

The salary range for this role is 139,000 USD - 277,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
