Job Summary
Responsible for initiating, planning, implementing, and assessing innovative and impactful programs and experiences focusing on student organizations, student organization leadership, student engagement opportunities, student group engagement and programming/activity experiences. Supervises assigned staff members. Collaborates with key stakeholders and advocates for appropriate resources for the programs to best serve the community. In addition to the Student Activities staff, this position will work most closely with Fraternity & Sorority Life, Student Center Operations and the Dean of Students staff. Additional stakeholders for administrative interaction will include but are not limited to Cultural & Community Centers, Student Leadership, Student Volunteerism & Service, Counseling and Psychological Services, Athletics, Housing & Residence Life, Sports & Recreation, Sports & Entertainment Park, and Orientation and Transition Programs.
Responsibilities
2. Plans, implements and advertises RSO leadership development opportunities
3. Maintains the annual registration/re-registration process for student organizations
4. Collaborates with leadership on the implementation and use of Campus Labs Engage platform
5. Consults with leadership on updates and changes to the RSO Manual
6. Recruits, hires, trains and supervises assigned professional staff and for the office
7. Recruits, hires, trains and student assistants for the office as well as the Division's mascot program
8. Plans and implements the Division of Student Affairs Annual Student Leader Awards Banquet
9. Recruits, selects, and manages the Student Homecoming Committee
11. Serves as a reviewer for the Public Forum request process and works to reserve the requested spaces
12. Maintains appropriate areas of the department webpage and social media presence
13. Advises student groups in development, planning and implementation of activities
14. Works with student organizations in the management, success and continuation of the group
15. Serves as the primary user-administrator for student organization management system by Campus Labs Engage
16. Assists staff members with the coordination of campus events, including Weeks of Welcome, Homecoming, KSU day and all other traditional programs and activities
17. Provides support for other divisional priorities and initiatives beyond the scope of department, as requested
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an institution of higher education in College Student Affairs Administration, Higher Education, Public Administration, or related field
Required Experience
Four (4) years of experience related to position, including graduate assistantships
Preferred Qualifications
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree relevant to position
Professional experience within a comprehensive student activities office, leadership programs or related field in a higher education setting

Background in advising student organizations
Strong understanding of leadership development
Experience with empowerment of students and creative educational programming
SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal skills, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, technology, organization, communication, and presentation
Proficient with computer applications and programs (i.e. Microsoft Office suite) and knowledge of programs related to higher education such as D2L and Campus Labs Engage
Analytical thinking and creative skills

Strong Attention to detail and strong organizational and follow up skills
Strong customer service and phone etiquette
