Job description

Purpose:

To grow the family ministries of Beulah Baptist Church and to minister to the Young Families with small children and youth and to give general oversight to the college/young adult ministry.

Qualifications:

Candidate must be a Born-Again Believer in Jesus Christ and possess a deep love for HIM as Lord and Savior. A love for children, youth, and young adults. A man who leads his own family in a way that demonstrates Christ’s love for the Church. Must meet Biblical standards for Pastoral leadership (see Titus chapter 1) and ascribe to The Baptist Faith and Message 2000 (SBC).

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of study or equivalent experience in Family Ministry to include children, youth, and young families.

Duties:

1. Prepare and Plan various activities/programs for children, youth, and young families.

2. Oversee ministries that educate, edify, and equip families for their walk with Jesus in a fun and engaging way.

3. Work with the Senior Pastor and Church Committees to utilize curriculum and develop ministries that focus on all aspects of worship, discipleship, and missions.

4. Maintain good communication with parents of children and youth in the church.

5. Recruit lay workers to aid in the ministry and provide training sessions for workers, and provide resources and support to parents through group activities. (Small Group, Bible Study, Discipleship Training)

6. Outreach to children and youth in our community through various programs. (Bible School, Fall Festival, Easter programs)

7. Supervise Sunday Night and Wednesday Night children and youth programs. (ex. Awana)

8. Prepare annual Ministry “Game Plan” with the Senior Pastor by setting goals and preparing a calendar of events.

9. Outreach through visitation, social media, and solicitation.

10. To work within the family ministries budget as approved by the church.

11. To develop and oversee a Beulah Kid’s program serving 4 to 8 year olds that prepares children for corporate worship.

12. Support and assist Senior Pastor as needed in ministering to the congregation as a whole.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
