Position Summary:
- Coordinate all clinical placements (practica/student teaching/internships) for the College of Education
- Serve as liaison between College of Education and P-12 schools
- Identify, monitor, and evaluate ongoing and new clinical sites
- Deliver training and support associated with clinical placements and assessments in field experiences, P-12 teachers and other professional educators and teacher/other professional educator candidates
- Work with teacher education faculty to develop practica and internship assessments
- Secure, develop and evaluate diverse sites for clinical/field experiences
- Identify and facilitate supervisory personnel for monitoring and evaluating undergraduate and alternative masters internship experiences
- Manage a comprehensive system that evaluates, monitors, and tracks all field experiences
- Develop and maintain field experience related educator preparation materials (handbooks, guides, informational literature, etc.)
- Coordinate overseas internship placements through Consortium for Oversees Student Teaching (COST) program
- Prepare and present reports relative to field experiences
- Assist in the coordination of academic program reviews and accreditation processes
- Supervise office staff and maintain program budget
- Coordinate and supervise additional responsibilities associated with the position as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Earned doctoral degree in an area of (P-12) professional educator preparation
- Minimum 3 years of experience teaching in P-12 schools or other professional educator positions P-12
- Minimum 1 year professional experience at the higher education level
- Knowledge of Alabama State Dept. of Education standards and certification requirements
- Experience with supervision of teacher interns/student teachers/ other professional educator interns
- Ability to develop and maintain database applications
- Ability to develop and present workshops related to clinical placements and assessments.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty , P-12 teachers, and other professional educators, principals, and superintendents
- Proven effective collaboration with P-12 schools and colleagues
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with supervision of office staff
- Alabama Class B, A, or AA professional educator certificate
- Teaching experience in Alabama P-12 schools
- Proven effective leadership/administrative skills
- Experience working with digitized student management systems
