Provide a safe environment for children.
- Ensure children are supervised at all times.
- Ensure the environment is safe, clean and in good repair. Report deficiencies to supervisor immediately.
- Follow acceptable protocol when accepting children for child care coverage.
- Interact with children and parents appropriately.
- Assist in maintaining the ordered arrangement, appearance, décor, and learning environment of the classroom while allowing for the expressive and creative involvement and interaction of children.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- One or more of the following required:
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. HEARTSVR also acceptable with AHA as the issuing authority.
- Certification specializing in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation credentialed from the American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. ASHI is an acceptable vendor for Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Childcare Experience preferred.
