Description:
Applicants must have hands-on Installation and repair of Audio/Video lines and equipment inclusive of hands-on cabling - this is a technician role. If the applicant has Point of Sale experience (POS), that is a definite plus.
Role and Responsibilities
- Review and complete work orders to move, change, install, repair, or remove A/V equipment such as cabling, wires, CCTV, audio systems, DVRs, and digital signage
- Read technical manuals to learn the correct settings for equipment
- Measure, cut, and install wires and cables
- Disassemble equipment and inspects and test wiring to locate and repair the problem
- Modify equipment by user request
- Test communication lines and Audio/Visual equipment to ensure that specifications are met
- Utilize various testers to ensure equipment functions properly.
- Plan layout and installation of Audio/Visual equipment
- Demonstrate the use of equipment
- Display Knowledge of Audio Video equipment: Extron, Crestron, AMX, Audio DSPs, LED Video wall control, Audio/Video Distribution amplifiers, Video switchers, extenders
Requirements
- Experience in the A/V technical field (3-5 years’ experience)
- Experience and understanding of signal flow as it relates to Audio/Visual source to destination.
- Experience with Bogen/Valcom/Altronix/Bose systems a plus.
- Travelling required – some overnights
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and overtime
- Must maintain a valid Driver’s License
- Driving Record must be incident-free for the last 3 years
- Able to lift at least 50 lbs
- Able to sit, stand, kneel and/or walk for long periods
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $34.00 - $36.00 per hour
