Overview

We are seeking a passionate, personable and customer service-oriented Automotive Floating Manager for our chain of Meineke locations in northern NJ. Must be organized, friendly and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

We provide a great work environment with a loyal customer base and high car count. Our shops are well-managed, professional, and very customer service-oriented. Responsibilities / Duties

  • Assists the manager with all aspects of store operation including front counter sales
  • Put the customer first. Go above and beyond to WOW the customer
  • Generate service appointments to increase sales
  • Meet weekly and monthly sales goals
  • Proactively communicate with customers throughout their visits. Keep them informed, manage issues as they arise
  • Order parts from approved vendors in a timely manner; track arrival and verify with technician immediately to ensure parts are correct
  • Learn to efficiently use the point-of-sale system. Accurately enter pricing and cost of goods into point-of-sale system on every ticket
  • Verify full documentation on every ticket – inspection sheet, estimates, work orders, final invoice, battery test form, etc.
  • Handle cores, returns, inventory deliveries and other center upkeep tasks
  • Perform closing duties as needed (close day in point-of-sale system, bank deposits, cash audits, etc.
  • Contribute to a positive, productive team environment
  • Must have reliable transportation and able to travel to each of our 8 shops
  • Floating managers cover the shop managers days off
  • We currently have 3 Floating Managers and need 1 more due to opening 2 new shops
  • This is a great training position for candadates looking to become a Shop Manager
  • 5 days a week, off on Sundays and one other weekday

Qualifications / Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in automotive industry helpful but not required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent people, phone and computer skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proactive self-starter
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills'

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
