  • With oversight, creating deliverables to support new aircraft designs or modifications to avionics systems such as:
o System schematics
o Supplier requirement documents
o System descriptions
o Interface control documents
o Wiring diagrams
o Certification plans to FAA, TCCA and EASA standards
o Issue papers
o Functional test requirements or test plans
o Test reports
o Design compliance reports
  • Reviewing installation drawings, qualification test data and reports?
  • Decomposing internal or external customer statements of work into detailed requirements?
  • Analyzing ground and flight test data to verify system performance and functionality?
  • Researching specifications for components selections?
  • Supporting change management through research, concepts, design reviews, trade studies, impact analysis, and implementation?
  • Working with suppliers and internal customers to investigate, troubleshoot and resolve aircraft build or test issues?
  • Supporting internal and external design reviews and program governance sessions?
  • Showing compliance to 14CFR Part 25 FAA, TCCA, and EASA certification requirements?

  • You hold a Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
  • You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in avionics system design or a related field (or ten years if a non-graduate).
  • You have a working knowledge of FAA, TCCA and EASA Part 25 certification requirements.
  • You have a working knowledge of system safety processes.
  • You have the ability to interpret software documentation including logic diagrams.
  • You will be familiar with RTCA DO-160, DO-178 and DO-254 standards
  • You are proficient with MS Office (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access).
  • Experience with AutoCAD is preferred.
  • You exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • You demonstrate interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, employees, management, and suppliers.
  • You are self-motivated and be able to coordinate multiple activities and manage time effectively.
  • You must be eligible to view and handle ITAR material.
