$500 Sign On Bonus for full time, permanent hourly associates!$18- $20 per hour!
To cook and prepare food for banquet functions or restaurant described on B.E.O’s.
Principal functions of the job
- Report to work on time and wearing the prescribed uniform
- Follow prep list that are posted by Chef’s office
- Prepare dishes using recipies dictated by Chef
- Prepare only items that are determined by the chef and or sous chef
- Food must be prepared correctly, at right temperature
- Work in an organized and clean enviroment
- To ensure highest possible standard in food prep. To exceed guests expectations
- Communicate with chef and Sous chefs
- Must be able to operate kitchen equiptment
- Maintain knowledge of DHEC standards and practices for kitchen sanitation
- Follow health and safety procedures
- Be familiar with the FIFO rule
- Need to work as part of the kitchen team
- Utilize cafeteria for breaks
- Check in produce as needed
- Label everything in sight
Prior kitchen experience or culinary degree
Must be able to read and write
Be willing to learn as you go as this is a training kitchen position
Maintain a can do attitude to all requests made by managers and staff
Be well organized and focused
Must be able to work well under pressure
Ability to work flexible schedule
Ability to communicate with others
Ability to work efficiently and follow directions to the “T”
Ability to resolve problems and conflicts as they occur
Ability to react to change productively
Physical requirements of the job
Be able to stand for long periods in a hot enviroment
Ability to move from place to place in the kitchen and up stairs
Lift up to 50#
