CaroMont Medical Group, an affiliate of CaroMont Health, is offering a Full-Time opportunity for an experienced Advanced Practice Provider. This is an employed position with our Behavioral Health Service Line in Gaston County, North Carolina.

Job description for the Lead PMHNP role is as follows:

• The PMHNP Lead will be a Nurse Practitioner with proven leadership skills and excellent clinical acumen who will work closely with the Behavioral Health Service Line (BHSL) leadership team to further the goals of the organization.
• Will report directly to the BHSL Physician Administrator and collaborate closely with the inpatient medical director.
• Positively impact the overall culture of the service line through exemplary work ethic and embracing our CARES values.
• Facilitate communication between the provider staff, clinical staff and leadership to help ensure smooth running of the day-to-day operations of the Inpatient Unit’s, Med/Surge Consults, ED Consults, and ambulatory clinics.
• Engage in strategic planning, setting goals and continuous process improvement alongside the BHSL Leadership team.
• Assist in the hands-on implementation of new processes, workflows and standards as designated by the leadership team.
• Assist in onboarding new providers, providing mentoring and familiarizing them with the hospital and clinic operations.
• Work with the practice administrator to always arrange adequate staffing and coverage for the clinic, including daily shift management for all assigned areas that staff APPs.
• Participate in site visits and round with the Physician Administrator on a monthly or quarterly basis as necessary.
• Leader amongst all PMHNPs, to include representation for all PMHNPs, recruitment, retention, onboarding, dissemination of information, training and development, and preceptor/student management where applicable.

Job qualifications for the Lead PMHNP role are as follows:

• Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Required with 2-3 years’ experience preferred.
• Preferred experience: behavioral health nursing, PMHNP inpatient care, behavioral health consults to med/surg floors, and ED behavioral health consults/or ED behavioral health nursing.
• Progressive leadership or mentoring experience preferred.
