Behavioral/Mental Health Technician (BHT/MHT)

NO experience necessary! Full PAID training program will be provided.

Shifts: Evening PM: (Wed 7a-3p, Thurs & Fri 3p-11p & Sat 8a-10p) or Evening PM: (Sun 8a-10p, Mon-Wed 3p-11p)

Provo Canyon School is a 24/7 secure behavioral health treatment center for adolescents aged 12 through 17. We coach, teach and mentor students who have psychiatric disorders. Our goal is to provide treatment that results in positive changes, allowing these youth to return to their families and communities.

Your Role:

• Serve as a positive role model for students while providing close supervision.
• Ensure that students are meeting defined daily goals, including hygiene, activities, education & therapy meetings.
• Crisis intervention and verbal de-escalation - training provided
• Use positive verbal skills, mentor/coach students on appropriate behavior.

Your Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum 21 years of age or older
• Pass a background check and drug screen

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
