GPI is seeking a BIM/CAD Manager for our Scranton, PA office. As the BIM/CAD Manager you will be involved in projects with our Building Systems Team, and provide leadership and review of the team’s projects including staffing assignments, project delivery, as well as technical expertise on 3D computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) work product

Responsibilities:
  • Provide the technical design support for BIM Revit/CADD support
  • Oversee and ensure the production of the project set up to be used for building systems projects
  • Take the lead regarding work progress and problem resolution for the project setup, often serving as a Drafting/Design Support resource on a project and assisting with Drafting/Design Support activities for projects of large scope and complexity within the Pennsylvania region.
  • Guides multi-site/phase projects by providing coordination and oversight for BIM Revit/CADD setup on various multi-site/phase construction projects
  • Provide situational guidance to design engineers, PMs, and managers with drafting and design support data and perspective to resolve challenges on projects
  • Ensure compliance with guidelines and project-specific procedures, including but not limited to the maintenance of any data collection, database, documentation, and the management of a digital library of drafting and design support documents in various files
Qualifications:
  • BS Degree in a related discipline (or equivalent experience) is required
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in the discipline with prior drafting and design support experience
  • Expertise with drafting and designing support principles and practices, codes and regulations, and record keeping
  • Ability to work independently and provide guidance and leadership to various project members
  • Proficiency in providing reviews of documents and preparing deliverables

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for final consideration
  • Read, write, and understand plans and directions given in the English language
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents, create Outlook emails and utilize SharePoint and Microsoft Teams to communicate with other team members
