Job description

Technician will be in charge of an automated "state-of-the-art" making system. The incumbent will plan the batching and mixing of a variety of fruit juices and flavored waters in accordance to a predetermined schedule. Must utilize strong math skills for pre-weighing, mixing ingredients, and use calculations to determine the amount of juice/water required to produce the desired amount of cases for the day's production. Also must use of a forklift to stage raw ingredients for batching.

Essential Functions
1. Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) as required.

2. Comply with Sunny Delight Beverage's policies and procedures.

3. Maintains a high level of sterile awareness.

4. Set-up and operate all blending equipment to meet the Manufacturing Order (MO) instructions per the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

5. Manage the inspection, unloading, and storage of inbound materials.

6. Process work orders efficiently and accurately per the Manufacturing Order (MO) instructions and the daily production schedule.

7. Create production batch samples of completed blends to facilitate Quality Assurance testing requirements.

8. Add ingredients to the chosen blender and process per production orders.

9. Calculate quantities. Weigh, verify, document and complete batches.

10. Blend various juices using mixers, pumps, pipes, hoses, flow meters, tanks.

11. Blend various water blends using minerals, salts and other equipment.

12. Pack product on pallets and secure for shipping.

13. Properly disassemble & reassemble equipment for cleaning following all safety guidelines.

14. Understand all part numbers, lot numbers, and product descriptions as they relate to the Manufacturing Order (MO).

15. Learn and practice Lean Manufacturing to improve efficiency and eliminate waste.

16. Update and maintain all required logs and paperwork within the department (i.e.: equipment uses, cleaning logs, Manufacturing Order (MO), etc.) accurately.

17. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment to ensure efficiency, employee safety, and product integrity.

18. Maintain accurate inventory records.

19. Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

o Must have 2 or more years' experience in a GMP production environment.

o Must read, write and speak English

o Must have intermediate math skills.

o Excellent attention to detail.

o Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings and/or weekends. o Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Physical Requirements:

o Ability to lift 60 or more pounds periodically.

o Ability to work around liquid and dry chemicals (including biological ingredients). Typical Work Environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.32 - $22.00 per hour
