Job Title: FC Bookkeeper Job Status: Full Time
Department: Accounting Reports to: Controller
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Positions Supervised: N/A
The Bookkeeper is responsible for the recording the daily financial transaction and maintaining a general ledger for an assigned company within the organization. Ensure that all bills are paid on time, transactions are recorded correctly, and taxes are filed correctly. They monitor cash flow and produce financial reports a needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Tracks invoices and payments for the assigned company.- Determines proper accounting entries (recording and distribution of debits and credits entries)
- Verifies and enters transactions in accounts and cash journals.
- Verifies, summarizes, and balances totals to insure accuracy (Fact-checking accounting data).
- Classifies, verifies, and posts individual items in the proper journal register, cash or record book.
- Responsible for details on separate ledgers and transfers data to general ledger.
- Maintains the assigned company’s general ledger.
- Journalizes transactions where judgment is involved as to account affected.
- Periodically balances subsidiary accounts and the general ledger.
- Prepares accounting reports, balance sheets, and income statements for the assigned company.
- Notify senior staff of any accounting errors.
- Maintains a system for organizing the assigned company’s documents
- Performs other related duties as necessary or may be asked to assist other accounting sections.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Education & Experience:
- Associates degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred.
- Five years or more of related experience preferred.
Skills and knowledge:
- Strong computer skills, primarily with Excel Office program.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills – Clearly speaks and writes English; listens and asks questions as necessary; interacts professionally with co-workers.
- Excellent organizational and Time management skills –prioritizes and organizes work of self and others; Uses time efficiently in order to manage and meet deadlines.
- Adaptability – Anticipates work needs; Able to deal with change, delays or unexpected events.
- Ability to uphold a strict level of confidentiality.

- Ability to speak, read and writes English.
