Moran,Assistant Superintendent of Human ResourcesSUBJECT: Brockton After Dark Summer 2023 Drama AdvisorAn advisor is required during the Mayors Youth Summer Evening Program, Brockton After Dark, held at Brockton High Schools Marciano Stadium from Wednesday July 5, 2023 through Thursday August 24, 2022. Drama will be held weekly on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 p.m.to 9:00 p.m.Summary: The Brockton After Dark Drama Advisor is responsible for overseeing the activities of the weekly summer drama program. You will host theater games and activities including improvisation, role-play situations, play readings, and play productions.If enough youth participate, the goal would be to hold a presentation at the end of the summer for parents/ guardians, as well as the community.Qualifications?Relevant advanced degree in theater or related field and/or at least 3-5 years of theater/drama experience,?Strong understanding of the developmental needs of early adolescents,?Experience with curriculum design, and student-centered teaching and learning practices, ?Pedagogical approach to drama instruction that incorporates equitable and inclusive teaching strategies and curricula?Demonstrated ability to work with a diversity of student backgrounds, learning styles, and prior experience in performing artsCompensation: Hourly Wage According to the Contract Funding Source: Office of Mayor Robert F.
