Reporting to the Team Leader the incumbent is responsible for providing closing and loan servicing functions for the Business Banking Division.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Reporting to the Team Leader, the incumbent is responsible for supporting loan officers and portfolio managers which includes:
- Performs New Loan boarding to the core system after a thorough review of all new loan documents
- Processing payments, advances, participation transactions, construction payments and advances following the Bank’s policies and procedures including but not limited to Restricted Servicing Transaction policy.
- Maintains accurate records of all payments, advances and file maintenance transactions following the Bank’s policies and procedures including but not limited to the Bank’s Record Retention policy.
- Set up and maintenance of new credit files following the Bank’s Policies and Procedures, including Insurance and Financial statement tracking for applicable portfolios.
- Issues real estate tax payments to the municipalities on quarterly and semi-annual basis, if applicable to business line.
- Assists in the annual escrow analysis, if applicable to business line.
- Supports other groups as needed by processing loan payments, advances and new loan setups.
- Performs the scan function for new or existing loans, if applicable.
- Performs administrative tasks including payoff letters, releases, billing, filing, general ledger and deposit account reconciliations.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
- Provides backup teller support when necessary.
- Assists with the records retention and shipping of closed loans and documents when necessary.
- Assists with any other special project assigned in order to complete by established deadlines.
- Minimum 2 years of prior loan servicing and/or equivalent professional experience preferred
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication
- Ability to quickly and accurately identify and file various types of loan documents (credit reports, note guarantees, loan agreements, OFAC, etc.).
- Strong organizational and administrative skills; proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Proven ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, work independently and exercise independent judgment when appropriate, while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong working knowledge of Insight or proven ability to learn complex transactional systems.

2. Adheres to applicable federal and state regulations and Bank policies and procedures, including OFAC, BSA, PATRIOT Act, Privacy, and consumer protection regulations pertaining to incumbent’s business line.
3. Completes required training (on-line and in-person) by set due dates.
4. Accurately and timely prepares all new loan files, ongoing filing and other servicing tasks as requested.
