Summary
The Business Development Manager, National Accounts is responsible for building, maintaining and expanding relationships with large, multi-location customers by establishing potential targets, designing specific national account programs, and onboarding new accounts. This position works closely with the Branch Manager, Estimators, Detailers, Team Leads, and Project Managers.

Essential Functions
  • Identifies new business opportunities within the national account profile
  • Establishes and grows strong positive relationships with critical contacts at key accounts
  • Ensures that National Sales meet or exceed all activity standards for monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets
  • Produce business plans and conduct business reviews with assigned accounts
  • Represents the company at industry trade and customer shows
  • Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees

Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience with the commercial door & hardware industry required
  • Strong client management, communication and presentation skills
  • Existing National Account Relationships or an ability to build relationships quickly
  • 5 years of strategic sales experience
  • Customer focused approach to problem solving and resolution skills

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Strong customer relation and customer service skills
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Working knowledge of commercial doors, frames and hardware
  • Must have an entrepreneurial drive with the ability to think strategically and analytically
  • Exhibits confidence, enthusiasm and a strong dedication to the job and the company
  • Exceptional business acumen with a demonstrated understanding of key business drivers
  • Ability to travel on a regular basis

Physical Demands
This job operates in a fast paced, demanding professional office environment. Successful candidate will be a self-starter, team player, deadline and goal oriented. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, calculators, phones, photocopiers, fax machines and filing cabinets.
