About us

Vintson Design Co. is a small custom cabinet shop located in Raleigh, NC. We first started business in Georgia but moved to the Raleigh area at the beginning of 2023. We build high end cabinetry and various other millwork projects. We have established ourselves with several contractors and designers in the area and are looking to grow our team of skilled and talented craftsmen.

We are searching for a finisher with experience in finishing furniture, cabinetry and millwork. Our projects usually include complex finish schedules and require attention to detail. You will be applying pigmented topcoats, clear coats, spray stain, wipe stains, powder glazes, and several other various styles of finishing along with learning new processes as the need arises on custom projects.

Requirements:

  • Experience with various forms of finishing (hvlp, airless, AAA)
  • An understanding of mixing, measuring and applying 2k finishes
  • The knowledge to clean and maintain spray equipment
  • Have your own transportation
  • US Citizen
  • Speaks English

Responsibilities

  • Measure and mix paints and stains for application
  • Spray cabinet parts, mantles, moldings and furniture
  • Sand primer coats
  • Fill, sand, and correct imperfections
  • On-site touchup
  • Wrap and protect parts before delivery
  • Work with future apprentices to teach the basics of finishing as we expand our team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

Benefits:

  • Paid time off

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:
