Overview
Operator Position that is responsible for smooth and focused operation of the video camera. They work with the Video Team and usually with a Video Director to provide guidance and support in concert with other camera operators.
Responsibilities:
- Directly oversee and participate in the set up and operation of camera equipment
- Possible operation of PTZ camera controller (upon request)
- Possible operation of handheld camera wired or wireless camera
- Thorough pre event testing of camera equipment
- Participate in and execute white balance, color correction, backfocus adjustments, etc. to ensure quality of picture
- Direct operation of camera equipment either following the calls of the director and/or providing properly framed camera shots.
- Interface with additional service, technical, and leadership teams to achieve the best possible video product.
- Directly oversee and participate in the tear down/shut down of the camera equipment
Requirements:
- An associate's or bachelor's degree in a field related to broadcast and/or live event technologies.
- A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in operation of live camera equipment.
- Proven and proficient communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks.
- Proficient computer skills with the ability to troubleshoot basic IT problems.
- A strong eye for color variants and shot composition.
- A high technical aptitude.
- Advanced knowledge of Blackmagic Cameras.
- Basic knowledge of the broadcast studio environment.
- Basic knowledge of broadcast cameras.

If an organization could provide fair pricing and dependable technical assistance, that organization could make the lives on both sides of the coin easier and more fruitful. Thus the idea of the Dependable Tech guarantee. An assurance to the church that the right tech will be delivered for the right price.
