GENERAL FUNCTIONS

Assist the Director of Operations with campus center operations as they relate to academics, programs, student and faculty support, customer service, and other functions related to the general operations of the Center. Weekly travel is required between the campus centers in Arcade and Warsaw.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

The following are typical responsibilities associated with a campus center associate position. The specific responsibilities will be assigned accordingly by the Director of Operations.

Provide customer service to students, visitors, and colleagues during operating hours, which may include daytime, evening and/or weekend hours.

Direct, support, and/or advise students in credit programs in the areas of career planning, course schedules, and/or academic assistance in accordance with College policies.

Maintain a good working relationship with Admissions, Financial Aid, Records, Student Success Center, and other campus offices that support students.

Assist the Director in the planning, coordination, and scheduling of credit and noncredit courses at the Center and/or community sites.

Maintain necessary office records for credit and noncredit programs, including appropriate audit trails, in accordance with College policies.

Plan, organize and monitor student activities and student groups/committees at the Campus Center.

Serve as a liaison regarding room assignments/reservations, course evaluations and surveys, technology/media needs, textbook requests, and other needs.

Assist with outreach and recruitment of new students in the community.

Assist in the development of publications.

Assist the Director and appropriate on-campus staff in the planning for seminars, conferences, advisory meetings, and other gatherings taking place at the Center.

Attend meetings and events at other College sites and in the community as necessary.

Perform other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements:


QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience

Minimum one year of working in a clerical and/or customer service related role. Preference will be given to individuals with experience in Higher Education and/or with academic programs.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Must be versatile, creative, and capable of carrying out a variety of tasks with a minimum amount of supervision. Must possess sound organizational, computer, and clerical skills and be capable of handling a high degree of administrative responsibility. Must demonstrate an ability to communicate and work effectively with members of the college community and the public at large. Must be able to travel, if necessary. Must be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to diversity.
