Job Summary
Under general supervision of the Senior Assistant Dean, Student Affairs and in close concert with the Senior Director of Career Development, the Career Services Specialist 2 is a key partner in the career development journeys of the Bay Area and Online MBA population. While the focus of this role will be on Bay Area and Online MBA students, they may potentially serve Sacramento, Full-Time and MBA alumni. Work closely with leadership and collaborate with career development colleagues across the Graduate School of Management to provide high quality support to students to help them actualize their career goals to reality.
This role will also engage with alumni to cultivate relationships on behalf of the school for purposes of career support, as well as helping understand shifting market trends.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- This is a 50% appointment with 25-50% time onsite.
- This hybrid role is based out of our Bay Area campus in San Ramon with visits to the Davis campus. Given that the Bay Area MBA program teaches on site on Saturdays, this role often has weekends hours built in.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education/Experience:
- Undergraduate in business, economics, communications, international relations, a STEM degree or other related major.
- Experienced higher education career counselor adept in helping candidates navigate a job search from resume and cover letter preparation, job search strategy, career coaching and interview preparation OR industry recruiting and mentoring experience.
- Engaging presenter with experience creating and delivering effective and engaging workshops and presentations, ideally in career development themes.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA):
- Skilled relationship builder adept at working with diverse populations and cultivating long-term partnerships.
- Strong communicator both orally and in writing with adept interpersonal skills for effective program administration and forming connections with diverse populations.
- Adept at leveraging technology from Zoom, PowerPoint, and other internet and cloud-based resources and databases.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Education/Experience:
- MBA or Masters Degree in Student Counseling or other related area.
- Direct MBA career counseling experience or possessing recruiting experience with MBA or other graduate populations.
- Experienced with using e-Recruiting systems, Career Leader, or other assessment tools, and leveraging LinkedIn for a job search.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA):
- Familiarity using E-Recruiting system and Career Leader Assessment Tool.

Background Check
This position is a critical position and subject to a background check. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background investigation including criminal history and identity checks.
