Career Equipment Technician
Job description
Arcosa Aggregates Texas Region is searching for an Equipment Technician for our Little River Academy, TX plant. In this role you will support a positive safety culture by assisting with the activities and engaging with staff within a mining environment that is regulated by MSHA safety standards. As an Equipment Technician, you will perform basic preventive maintenance on the plant or heavy mobile equipment in a mining environment.

What you'll do:
- Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations
- Knowledgeable of basic preventative maintenance on production equipment and plant maintenance.
- Cleans equipment, clears obstacles in work environment
- Some plant maintenance experience including welding
- Be involved with safety committee initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned
What you'll need:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- No experience required
- Prompt, regular and predictable attendance
- The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.
- The ability to work in a varied outdoor environment (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
