Job Description


SUMMARY OF THE POSITION:
This position manages Augsburg’s employer-sponsored pipeline programs, including maintaining relationships with employer partners, managing student application process, supporting students in the program, and grant writing and reporting. This position is also responsible for developing workshops and opportunities for students on career readiness topics and provides direct student service related to career development.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the fulfillment of Augsburg’s commitments to internships and employment opportunities through Employer Sponsored Pipeline Programs such as the Travelers EDGE partnership; recruit students to participate in these programs; manage day-to-day components of the programs.
  • Manage a program budget for Employer Sponsored Pipeline Programs.
  • Fulfill all reporting requirements for Employer Sponsored Pipeline Program grants.
  • Establish and cultivate new relationships with targeted employers and organizations through site visits, association meetings, conferences, etc.to develop additional pipeline partnerships.
  • Develop marketing strategies and materials to bring greater visibility of the institution to relevant employers and industries.
  • Facilitate the ongoing career-readiness of students including developing and delivering programming that supports career development for primarily first-generation college students.
  • Collaborate with departments across campus to develop career related programming in the classroom; provide classroom presentations on career related topics; develop and implement events tailored for specific majors or populations.
  • Create career related content for print and digital materials for Strommen Center. Research current trends, best practices, and emerging recruiting practices to ensure information is current and accurate.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Represent the Strommen Center at campus events.
  • Contribute to and support the Career Services team.
  • All other duties as apparent or assigned.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Typical work environment is an office.
  • Regular computer and phone use.
  • Sedentary work for long periods of time.
  • Occasional travel required.

Qualifications


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of four (4) years related work experience or a combination of education and experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and group presentation skills required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working with traditionally underserved populations.
  • Experience developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with partners.
  • Experience managing grants and fulfilling reporting requirements.
