Job Description:
Part-time Position
Case Manager for Comprehensive Treatment Court, Manatee
Position Summary:
Ensures continuity of care to clients through case management services, specifically in mental health. Provide and link clients with the needed resources to improve the client's quality of life. Provides court coordination for those with criminal justice involvement. Will be responsible for completing assigned administrative tasks on daily basis.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field. Also requires knowledge of community services. Experience in a mental health setting and previous case management experience preferred. Strong communication, ability to work on a team and time management skills necessary. Valid Florida driver's license with a good driving record and valid auto insurance.
Preferred Qualification:
Two years' experience in a mental health setting and previous case management experience preferred.

Special Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of community services. Highly motivated, self-directed, and some flexibility with work hours. Excellent written and verbal skills. Willingness to work on a comprehensive treatment team. Ability to build professional relationships in the community and networking.
Essential Functions:
  • Reports to work as scheduled on a daily basis and performs assigned duties to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Interaction with clients that have law enforcement involvement.
  • Transportation of clients to medical appointments, court document preparation, and individual treatment plans for client’s with substance abuse and/or co-occurring disorders.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
Works in well-lighted areas. Sits, stands, bends, lifts and moves intermittently during work hours. Is subject to frequent interruptions. Is involved with clients, residents, family members, personnel, visitors, government agencies/personnel, etc., in a behavioral health setting.
Position Type, Expected Hours of Work and Travel:
Part-time position. Day time shifts with on call hours as necessary. Frequent local travel is required. Full-time position is possible if interested.
