Wagshal’s is seeking Cashier/Sales Associates who can smile and treat our guests like he most important persons in the room. Join our team of passionate food service professionals at Washington's oldest and best-loved delicatessens and gourmet grocers.

Open availability required for full-time positions. Professional appearance and presentation a must.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Must smile and greet guests with enthusiasm and sincerity.
• Represents professionalism at all times.
• Maintains highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness in appearance and work stations.
• Demonstrates a complete understanding of menu items, products and procedures and explains them to Guests accurately.
• Operate any required equipment accurately, safety and efficiently.
• Clean and maintain station while practicing good safety and sanitation.
• Understands and adheres to proper food handling, safety and sanitation standards during food preparation, service and clean up.
• Participates in continuous "facing" of shelves merchandise during shifts.
• Contributes to restocking of departments as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience in Quick Service/Fast Casual dining preferred.
• Ability to understand and implement written and verbal instruction in English.
• Work well in fast-paced setting.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English.
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 lbs.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
• Must have exceptional hygiene and grooming habits.
• Must have open scheduling availability—nights and weekends and Holidays are required.
• Minimum age requirement is 18.
