We are hiring a Catering and Events Manager to be responsible for providing excellent customer service while creating, managing, and supporting all aspects of catering and catered event coordination, as well as supervising dining and catering staff.

Compensation: commensurate with experience starting at $65,000 per year.

How you will make an impact:

  • Plans and executes all catered events on campus including internal meetings, resident events and private parties, as well as corporate events.
  • Works closely with the campus chef, general managers, and other chefs for menu planning and revenue growth.
  • Serves as maitre d' during events.
  • Schedules and trains catering flex staff.
  • Coordinates activities with other departments.
  • Develops creative events and markets these to residents and staff.
  • Utilizes existing systems for planning and billing.

What you will need:

  • Minimum of three years experience in dining room management, service, and sanitation
  • Must be open to a flexible schedule for weekend or evening events
  • Ability to supervise multiple dining rooms and a large number of employees
  • Bachelors’ degree in Restaurant Management or Hospitality Dietetics experience may be a substitute for up to one year of experience.
  • Current applicable food service license or certificate as required by the state, local or federal regulations
