ProvidencialMD, Inc. is seeking part-time Family Nurse Practitioners to support weekend wellness clinics throughout Maryland, Washington, DC, and Georgia.

Principle Responsibilities. Provide a wide range of primary health care to individuals of all ages and families, to include direct patient care.

  • As advanced practice nurses, they shall provide nursing and medical services to individuals, families and groups, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention, as well as the management of chronic diseases. Services include but are not limited to the ordering of appropriate diagnostic and laboratory tests, the prescription of pharmacologic agents and treatments and non-pharmacologic therapies.

  • Teaching and counseling individuals, families and groups are a major part of nurse practitioners’ activities. Nurse practitioners work autonomously as well as in collaboration with a variety of individuals to diagnose and manage clients’ health care problems. They serve as health care resources, interdisciplinary consultants and patient advocates.

  • Candidate will also arrange and participate in individual and group health education efforts and provide administrative assistance for clinic activities.

Experience & Education:

  • Shall have graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.

  • Must have and maintain a current, active, valid, unrestricted license from the applicable state - Maryland, Georgia or the District of Columbia. In addition, the Advanced Practice RN must possess a license (or other authorizing document) for advanced practice issued by either the State Board of Nursing granting the RN license or another state. Must maintain a current certification as a family nurse practitioner from a nationally recognized source (or national certifying body), such as the American Nurses Credentialing Commission (ANCC).

  • Must have a minimum of one year of experience as a practicing NP. Must maintain Continuing Education credit sufficient to maintain their clinical license.

Other Requirements:

Must have a current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) certificate and Controlled Drug Substance number as appropriate. The candidate shall ensure that renewal actions are accomplished well before expiration of the personnel’s license and/or DEA certification to ensure compliance with the employment agreement.

  • Must be U.S. citizens.

  • Must be able to read, write, understand and speak English clearly and effectively communicate with all patients and other healthcare providers
