Job Opportunity – CFO with 4C for Children in Cincinnati, OH

As the Chief Financial Officer with 4C for Children, you will be responsible for all aspects of our financial operations. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will provide accounting, budgetary, operational, and programmatic support to all programs and activities. You will have direct oversite and supervision of the financial/accounting staff and will serve as an active member of the Executive Leadership Team helping to develop and implement our vision and mission.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Strategic financial planning, financial thought leadership, and financial risk management for the organization as a whole.
- Recommend, maintain, and implement (when needed) a robust internal control environment, minimizing the organization's risk exposure to asset misappropriation or financial misstatements.
- Coordinate and manage the annual audit process to timely and efficient completion with minimal (if any) audit adjustments.
- Full oversight and management of the organization's accounting and finance department, including staff hiring, training, management, and regular performance evaluation.
- Completion of timely, accurate monthly financial reporting maintained on a U.S. GAAP – compliant basis.
- Supervise payroll and provide input on benefits selection and implementation.
The ideal candidate will be a high-energy self-starter with the ability to work seamlessly with both the executive leadership team as well with team members of all departments and levels. Other requirements of this position include:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years senior financial /business management experience, preferably in a non-profit organization
- CPA is preferred
- Single Audit experience is a plus
- Must have detailed knowledge of and be proficient in the use of financial software, analytical spreadsheets, and budget forecasting.
- Superb attention to detail
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
