Position available: The College of Nursing is seeking a Full Time Clinical position at the rank of Clinical Instructor/Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor. The Clinical Track position is a 9-month position with a focus on adult health and maternal child.

Requirements: A doctoral degree is preferred, preferably in nursing, but candidates must hold a master’s degree in nursing. Additional requirements include approval to practice as a registered nurse in Alabama as well as relevant clinical experience. Faculty are expected to engage in active teaching and learning strategies, i.e., flipped classroom, unfolding case studies, and be knowledgeable of Canvas (UAH’s Learning Management System for all courses).

Responsibilities: Faculty are expected to contribute to the mission, vision, and core values of the College of Nursing by teaching in accordance with best practices, advising students to guide and retain them at UAH, maintaining an active program of scholarship/research to contribute to nursing science and to the translation of research evidence into practice, maintaining own nursing practice to stay current and building community partnerships, participating on college and university committees, and participating in DNP projects.

The College of Nursing: The College of Nursing offers a traditional BSN, Accelerated BSN, Dual ADN/BSN, RN to BSN, MSN, DNP, and Ph.D. programs, which are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). The College's total fall 2021 enrollment was 1,108, with 651 undergraduate and 457 graduate students. The College of Nursing currently cooperates with more than 1000 sites for clinical education. All programs provide opportunities to make a difference in healthcare delivery, teaching, and research.
