The Clinical Supervisor supports and oversees our Skokie Community Counseling Group and Response for Teens clinical services. The Clinical Supervisor will supervise clinical staff and support the administrative needs of the department.
Responsibilities
Employee Supervision
- Supervises and evaluates the case management and clinical treatment approaches of the professional clinical staff assigned as direct reports.
- Lead, coach, mentor and instruct clinical staff by providing orientation and ongoing training.
- Makes recommendations for continuing or terminating employment of professional clinical staff.
- Assumes full responsibility for the treatment of clients under their supervisees’ care.
- Leads weekly group supervision for clinical staff.
Administrative
- Performs record keeping functions and other administrative duties as required by the Agency, including written treatment documentation within the required timeframes.
- Screens and coordinates intakes and assigns new and transfer cases to professional clinical staff.
- Oversees administrative tasks related to assigned cases, i.e. case records, quality audits, case staffings, and case consultations.
- May provide services and billing under Medicaid Rule 132 as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) or Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA), dependent on qualifications.
- Reviews all case documentation with Medicaid Rule 132 involvement, ensuring compliance with requirements.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage/Family Therapy, Psychology, or related field for an accredited college.
- Clinical state licensure in the clinician’s discipline, e.g. LCSW, LCPC or LMFT.
- Three or more years of direct clinical practice. 1 or more years of post-clinical license experience preferred.
- Supervisory or administrative experience preferred.
- Able to work evenings based on program needs.
- As this position requires site visits to and/or transporting clients from locations which may or may not be accessible by public transportation, must be able to drive, have a valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle to travel in the Chicago metropolitan area.
New hires would need to be fully vaccinated with 1 or 2 doses and booster and provide their card upon hire OR begin receiving the booster within 2 weeks of being hired and participate in weekly COVID testing until fully vaccinated OR provide documentation for an ADA or religious exemption and participate in weekly COVID testing.
