Role:

Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Clinical Supervisor has the responsibility for direct supervision of school-base mental health clinicians’ providers in the Solano County Program. This position provides supervision and oversight of the clinical work and administrative tasks of the clinician, programmatic leadership and oversight of assigned administrative tasks. In addition, this position will provide training and support to clinicians and coordination with school personnel.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and supervision to school-based mental health clinician’s clinical and administrative work.
  • Provide leadership and oversight of assigned administrative tasks (e.g. QA, training, recruiting, and facilities).
  • Work closely with clinical staff to ensure that providers fulfill their job requirements (e.g. productivity requirement, timeliness of notes, documentation requirements, professional conduct, competence in their role)
  • Work closely with the Quality Assurance Department to ensure that providers’ documentation meet Medi-Cal standards
  • Attend required agency meetings
  • Ensure that providers follow regulatory guidelines, mandated reporting, program/agency protocols-policies and procedures
  • Provide coordination and collaboration with school staff and school district personnel
  • Perform other duties as directed
  • Licensed psychologist, social worker or marriage and family therapist
  • Licensed for 2 years with 3 to 5 years relevant experience
  • Well-organized, self-motivated, detailed-oriented, and works well with colleagues
  • Experience in a leadership and/or administrative role providing supervision
  • Experience working as a mental health clinician in the schools
  • Knowledge and experience providing behavioral health services to children and families in kindergarten through high school
  • Relevant clinical experience
  • Understanding and desire to work with a strength-based clinical model
  • Understanding the DSM-5, assessments and treatment plans
  • Knowledge of HIPAA requirements and Medi-Cal documentation
  • Possess interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, other agencies, school staff, and the public
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of various types of records including personnel, client and clinical information
  • Excellent organizational, computer and communication skills
  • Ability to pass various background checks needed to work with children


Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office and or community setting. This position is eligible for telecommuting with supervisor approval.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and may vary based on business need.


Travel

Local travel to various worksites is required.


Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Employees must pass a background check and receive TB and health clearances prior to employment. Driving records will be periodically reviewed.
