Title: Clinician/Clinician Trainee

Division : Outpatient Services

Salary Ranges:

  • Clinician Trainee: $24.00 - $30.00
  • Clinician I/II: $28.00 - $40.00

Base rate is dependent on related years of experience

Position Summary: Clinicians work with individuals, groups, and communities to improve mental health. They diagnose and treat emotional disorders, encourage individuals to talk about their feelings and help individuals develop new strategies to improve their lives and relationships.

Qualifications :

1. Clinician- Graduation from an accredited graduate program with major in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Behavior Analysis, or other related degree required. These degrees must be license eligible (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC).

2. Clinician Trainee-Master of Arts or Master of Science degree in progress from an accredited graduate program with major in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Behavior Analysis, or other related degree required.

3. One year of experience in a treatment setting preferred.

4. Bilingual preferred.

5. BBS registration, licenses, credentials or like certifications must remain active and valid with their governing entity, if applicable.

6. A valid California driver’s license with less than two minor moving violations is required of staff who have driving duties to meet the requirements of their position and be approved by the agency’s insurance company..

Essential Job Functions:

4. Physical, mental and emotional health adequate to perform duties.

5. Must possess knowledge of mental health programs and community resources.

6. Adhere to all applicable legal and ethical standards.

7. Ability to work effectively with cultural/ethnic diversity.

8. Ability to work at various locations, including client homes, schools and community settings.

9. Sound personal qualifications (i.e., maturity, stability, high moral standards, and sound mental health and physical ability to perform job duties).

Responsibilities:

1. Provide direct clinical services to clients.

2. Provide assessment and treatment planning for clients.

3. Provide group, individual, family, and collateral clinical services for clients.

4. Provide school consultation when appropriate.

5. Keep comprehensive clinical records that meet standards of the agency, The Joint Commission and contract.

6. Collaborate with the referring agency or other community agencies working with the client to coordinate treatment.

7. Collect outcome data, including consumer satisfaction surveys, as required by the agency and contract.

8. Must implement program goals and objectives to meet and maintain contractual requirements and productivity.

9. Participate in monthly peer review.

10. Attend trainings.

Programs with Openings:

  • North Modesto or Hughson: Provide counseling and linkage services to students referred to the Family Resource Center due to a mental health need through schools participating in the Mental Health Students Services Act (MHSSA) grant in partnership with the Stanislaus County Office of Education (SCOE).https://www.sierravistacares.org/family-resource-centers
  • Brief Intervention Counseling Team (BICT): This position provides mental health services to adults. The services provided include individual, family, collateral and group within family homes, community, and school settings as well as in the office.
  • The Behavioral Health Services Team (BHST), ICS level, serves children, youth and transitional age youth 0 to 21 years of age, diagnosed with a mental health disorder displaying severe impairments. The services provided include individual, family, collateral, group and case management in family homes, community, and school settings as well as in the office. Clinician trainee work is reviewed and cosigned by LPHA. The clinician/clinician trainee works collaboratively with members of the treatment team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $36.00 per hour
