Simpson is looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant’s (CNA) to join our dynamic team. POSITION DETAILS
The Certified Nursing Assistant, under the supervision of the Charge Nurse, performs various direct and indirect resident care functions in accordance with the established standards of care adhering to policies and procedures of the Department of Nursing. Ideal candidate needs to have a positive and outgoing personality with good interpersonal skills, be compassionate, and enjoy working with seniors.
· Provides residents with the personal care they require and/or request. Assists residents with activities of daily living in a manner that ensures dignity and respect.
· Assist residents with activities of daily living, including hygiene, in accordance with resident’s rights and according to individual care plans as required or requested.
· Accompany residents to physician, appointments and/or activities when required.
· Some CNA’s and Personal Care Aides are responsible for facilitating some group and/or individual activities, entertainment and other events that are arranged for by the Activities Director in accordance with each resident’s support plan.
· Accompany residents to dining room, assist with feeding when necessary, and always monitor dining area during meals.
· Provide for resident safety by being observant and reporting any unsafe situations and/or conditions to shift supervisor.
· Monitor vital signs and weights as ordered.
· Pass medications if med-tech certified
· Respond to resident requests and/or call bells, professionally, efficiently, and appropriately.
Required Qualifications
Education: Successful completion of a formal Certified Nurse Assistant training program
PC Skills:
Experience:
Licensing or Certification: Certified Nurse Assistant in Pennsylvania.
C.P.R. and First Aid Certification prior to providing direct care to residents.
Alzheimer’s/Dementia, and prescription medicine administration certification completed within six months of employment or in accordance with regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent
PC Skills: Basic skills including e-mail
Experience: 2+ years’ experience as a Certified Nurse Assistant in a Skilled Nursing Facility or Personal Care or Assisted Living
