Alpha Q, Inc. is seeking an experienced 2nd Shift CNC Milling Operator to join our team!

***SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL FOR SECOND SHIFT***

This position will be located at our Colchester, CT manufacturing facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the position to include, but not limited to:

• Operates a variety of CNC milling machines up to 5 Axis to perform diversified operations to specific dimensions
• Loads appropriate tools and programs into CNC machines; works from Process Sheets, specifications, and Tool Sheets to perform setup and First Piece run
• Diagnoses operating difficulties and makes appropriate remedial adjustments to realign fixtures, change tooling, etc. to correct operations or dimensional deviations
• Participates in Lean Manufacturing events throughout the manufacturing area
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of shop mathematics and machining technology, precision measuring procedures, setup techniques, tooling applications, and a basic understanding of CNC technology is essential
• Must be capable of using basic inspection equipment i.e. micrometers, calipers, plug gages, etc. and a broad knowledge of mechanic principles
• Thorough familiarity and understanding of Process Sheets, blueprints, specifications, and procedures that are applicable to the job
• Must be a “US Person” as defined by US Government and able to work without restriction with ITAR related data.
• Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak English at a functional level.

Education Required:

• High school or vocational graduate
