Great company that manufactures metal related products/machines. The company has approximately 100 employees and is an international player in the market. The company manufactures high-quality mechanical installations to quality standards. The machinery consists of conventional and CNC-controlled lathes.
Responsibilities
- Read drawings, tool lists, work preparation data and (master) programs.
- Discuss uncertainties with the Team Lead.
- Must be able to meet the requirements of dimensions in accordance with standard(s), shape and position tolerances and roughness.
- Must have practical experience with CNC Turning, 3 axis and 5 axis milling.
- Call up the master program and programming the program in the respective programming language.
- Convert the program to the working environment and if applicable change the program.
- Store the written program on an information carrier for repetitive work.
- Support fellow Machinists in supplementing and/or changing the programs.
- Calculate cutting speeds, angles and radii, set zero point, devise clamping, choose and set tools that determine feeds and speed.
- Fixturing or clamping the products or starting materials.
- Supervise the machining and, if necessary, adjust the parameters, taking into account the safety regulations.
- Changeover the machine.
- Adjust or add the work preparation data and/or programs.
- Discuss and test new methods and other tools together with the Manufacturing Engineers.
- Maintain the lathes and milling machines by lubricating, adding or replacing oil/coolant.
- Solve simple malfunctions.
Qualifications
Strong communication skills required
High school diploma/GED preferred
Knowledge of CNC machine maintenance required
5+ years experience with mills and lathes required
