Ryerson’s is currently seeking an CNC Programmer to join our Operations team in the Centralia, WA market. A successful candidate will utilize existing CNC programming as well as AutoCAD and Sigmanest software to interpret customer supplied drawings and sketches.
This role will be responsible for the following:
Generate machine language to convert customer supplied piece part documents into finished parts

Ryerson’s is currently seeking an CNC Programmer to join our Operations team in the Centralia, WA market. A successful candidate will utilize existing CNC programming as well as AutoCAD and Sigmanest software to interpret customer supplied drawings and sketches.
This role will be responsible for the following:
Generate machine language to convert customer supplied piece part documents into finished parts
- Program parts for processing on all equipment: plate cutting (Oxy Fuel and plasma), machining, plate laser, piece finishing
- Create piece part super nests to improve material utilization
- Adjustments to drawings based on customer need, equipment downtime, operator feedback, etc.
- Conflict resolution with customers and suppliers
- Customer satisfaction management of Quality with a 98% on-time delivery requirement
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Sigmanest nesting software and various machine codes to communicate with a wide range of CNC machine controllers (understanding of M-G code)
- Familiarity with SigmaNest software
- Daily compliance with job work instructions
- Identification and implementation of continuous improvements in all work processes
- Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
• High School Diploma is required; Associate's or Technical Degree is preferred
• High School Diploma is required; Associate's or Technical Degree is preferred
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a programming position
- CAD 2 & 3 D, CNC Machining Center programming experience
- Strong math skills, strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Cooperative, congenial nature, and able to work well with others
- CNC plasma, Oxy Fuel, Laser, and machining experience preferred
