CNE Clinical Nurse Educator Staff Development

This is a Full time position working at Northwest Houghton Hospital. Position Purpose Responsible for the coordination and delivery of inservice training and educational sessions related to ensuring clinical competence and related to improving the culture of safety based on the organization's culture of safety survey results.

Position Purpose
Responsible for the coordination and delivery of in-service training and educational sessions related to ensuring clinical competence and related to improving the culture of safety based on the organization's culture of safety survey results.

Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements
Education: "Required: Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of employment in the role.
Exception if hired into Educator role prior to 2010: Associates Degree in Nursing or diploma program"
Experience: "Required: Five (5) years of experience in area of expertise.
Preferred: Previous experience as an educator"

Skills: Ability to provide daily operational leadership to small teams. Appropriate prioritization while achieving safety and quality in a high volume environment; Engaging and effective communication and service skills; Adherence to policy and procedures; Process improvement oriented; Self-initiative to assist with whatever is needed.

Licenses/Certifications: "Required:
Current Arizona RN licensure or compact state license
For all CNE except PeriOp: American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross(ARC) BLS & ACLS
For PeriOp CNE: American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) BLS; CNOR certification within 90 days of hire into the position.

Preferred: Nationally recognized certification in area of expertise.
