Skills and qualifications:

• Minimum of two years HVAC degree from an accredited college or equivalent level of knowledge attained through practical work experience. Certification(s) from applicable organizations, such as ASHRAE, ACG, AABC, AEE, NEBB, etc. are desired
• Experience with commercial HVAC and controls systems. Experience should include installation or maintenance or testing & balancing (including the troubleshooting of operational issues) of building automation temperature control or HVAC systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and good writing skills for editing/preparation of checklists, test forms and reports.
• The ability to professionally represent the firm in the field and during meetings with construction personnel, management personnel and owners. The candidate must be able to start a project from the beginning and take it through completion including close-out and final report.
• Able to develop the Cx specifications; identify and clearly document design/construction conflicts with other trades; identify and clearly document mechanical construction deficiencies and derive recommended solutions from past experiences; TAB verification and carrying out assignments from conception to completion; and design/installation/programming and/or troubleshooting of building automation temperature control systems.
• Ability to travel 20-30%. This position will require travel as DBR expands operations geographically.
