This role is a temporary role with the potential to become to a full-time position.
As a Communications Specialist – Retail Investor Marketing with Hines, you will serve in a cross-functional role supporting the marketing team responsible for promoting Hines-sponsored investment offerings to financial professionals and their clients. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to tactically support the development and execution of a wide variety of marketing efforts and initiatives. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Run our external events marketing program. You will be the primary point of contact for tradeshow vendors, event hosts, internal speakers and attendees. This includes:- working with vendors to produce and properly maintain booth and signage materials,
- working with graphic designers to produce collateral materials and ensure they are delivered to the event,
- coordinating with potential Hines speakers and attendees to ensure everyone knows what is expected of them and when,
- working with event organizers on contracts, event details, etc.
- Perform general website updates, including uploading documents, monitoring in-bound inquiries, and coordinating basic development work with our development team.
- Keep digital and printed marketing materials updated monthly by collaborating with fund teams, graphic designers, compliance and print / fulfillment teams.
- Keep promotional items in stock by reviewing the daily usage report.
- Serve as an investor marketing liaison between other departments and the graphic design team. This includes:
- explaining the design needs and communicate deadlines,
- proofreading and providing general review of presentations and other materials,
- assisting sales team members in creating and sourcing collateral and marketing materials.
Minimum Requirements include:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism or other related field from an accredited institution preferred or equivalent years of direct experience required- Five or more years of relevant marketing communications experience; financial services experience a plus.
- Must be extremely detail-oriented and conscientious due to the highly regulated environment of financial services marketing.
- High level of organizational skills and ability to balance multiple projects at once.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint required.
- Experience with Seismic a plus.
- Enthusiastic self-starter who enjoys being part of a fast-paced team and interacting with others across the organization, and can work with a minimum level of supervision once acclimated to the job.
