Computer Software Analyst
Job description
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The Computer Software Analyst is responsible to aid the Tribal Government and its enterprises in development, implementation, and continued application administration with a primary focus on the large-scale software applications including HRIS (Human Resources Information System).
DUTIES:
- Provide technical assistance to tribal departments utilizing the large-scale software applications including: application setup, application implementation, training, and on-call support.
- Update, test, monitor and maintain assigned computer programs and systems in a collaborative method with IT Staff and involved departments to ensure proper operation of the systems across all areas.
- Troubleshoot program and system malfunctions to restore normal functioning.
- Expand or modify system to serve new purposes or improve work flow.
- Identify shortfalls in application usage, and use this information to develop and implement strategies to improve these areas.
- Determine how a system should work and how changes in conditions and operations affect outcomes.
- Consult with management and lead staff to ensure agreement on system design and functionality.
- Identify and coordinate with appropriate outside organizations, programs and personnel when necessary to improve operations when they are beyond the scope of our resources.
- Learn applications through personal research and self-study.
- Provide training to other tribal personnel as needed/ required.
- Attend meetings, conferences, and training sessions as directed or required by employer.
- Must be reliable and maintain an acceptable departmental attendance record.
- Must adhere to all established rules, regulations, procedures, and policies of the Stockbridge/Munsee Community.
- All other duties as assigned by the employer.
