Mechanical Helper

A rapidly growing engineering and industrial construction firm in the Atlanta area is seeking a candidate who has maintenance, construction, or mechanical experience and knowledge of basic hand tools in the Peachtree City, Thomaston, and Carrollton, GA areas.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Unload materials and other equipment at a worksite
• Set up equipment to be used at the job site
• Maintain tools and heavy equipment daily
• Assist with framing and other tasks
• Perform a variety of tasks as needed at the construction site
• Remove debris, trash, and dangerous material from the construction site

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge of arithmetic, basic geometry, and their applications to carpentry
• Able to work at elevated heights
• Must be able to learn the principles, method, tools, and equipment used in the trade
• Able to follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
• Physical stamina

Preferred Skills/Abilities:

• Additional and relevant mechanical repair and services experience preferred

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
