DESCRIPTION
We are currently seeking a highly motivated Construction Manager/Coordinator to become an integral member of the Edge team. This is a full-time position located in our Prairie du Sac, WI office. You will be working in a fast-paced, ever-evolving industry assisting our Civil Engineering team with the design and construction of various Public Safety Communication, infrastructure, and facility improvement projects.
Primary responsibilities:
- Perform field inspections and site audits on construction projects.
- Manage contractors, construction schedules, invoicing, project bidding, etc.
- Complete UAS (drone) inspection and mapping work in the field. A current UAS pilot license would be beneficial. However, candidates that are not currently licensed will receive training and help in obtaining a license.
- Utilize CAD design software to prepare as-built drawings. Completing 3D mapping and design documents may be part of future work requirements (training provided).
- Ability to perform fieldwork at water tower and rooftop sites, including climbing, is preferred but not a requirement.
- Collaborating with other external and internal departments (i.e. Structural team, Environmental team, etc.) to meet or exceed customer project requirements and deadlines
- Adhering to company policies, procedures and confidentiality requirements surrounding the services provided to clients
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management preferred. Alternate qualifications that may be considered include a Technical College degree in Construction Management or Architectural Science, extensive construction experience (no degree).
- Ability to travel and perform field work are needed; a valid driver’s license, good driving record, and access to a vehicle are required
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment with the willingness to accept work direction/feedback from various internal/external partners is necessary
- Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of MS Office Suite (primarily Outlook, Excel, Word and Teams)
- Experience with surveying and/or field measurements techniques, as well as construction inspection are desired, but not require
