Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Performing tests both in the field and laboratory for concrete, hot mix, soils and aggregates

Minimum Requirements:

  • 0-5 years experience working in the construction industry
  • Experience reading and comprehending plans, specifications and test procedures
  • Working knowledge of concrete, soils, base and asphalt pavements
  • Highway or building construction experience and a proven history of working well with contractors and owners to accomplish construction tasks is preferred
  • Must have a valid driver’s license

Technical Requirements:

  • Preferred experience using Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheets
  • Must have or be able to quickly obtain certification in Concrete, Hot Mix, Soils and Base testing

Other miscellaneous qualities:

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
  • Must be willing to work either day or night shifts
  • Must be willing to transition from field testing and inspection duties to laboratory testing responsibilities as needed
  • Must be willing to work “off hours” when needed and up to 60 hours per week as needed
