Lakeside Book Company has created a new role to help us launch our continuous improvement journey. Our leadership team is fully committed to investing in our people, our processes, and engaging with everyone from Operators to Managers. Internally called Continuous Improvement Manger, you will lead, teach, and coach process improvement to approximately 500 employees in our Owensville, MO location and build a CI culture and organization.**

As a Continuous Improvement Manager, you will:
- Influence cultural change with our employees and stakeholders. Help them understand and embrace continuous improvement, and make it a regular part of what we do every day.
- Develop a platform for continuous improvement strategy and implement Lean tools and methodologies as part of an effective management operating system.
- Be a tactical and strategic partner with our leadership team and process owners to leverage the management operating system and ensure standard Lean manufacturing processes are in place.
- Lead a portfolio of projects and teams to review and analyze the efficiency and effectiveness of our Supply Chain processes.
- Coach problem-solving activities through process improvement methodologies (e.g. Kaizen events, PDCA, DMAIC).
- Stay on top of project completion statuses, obstacles, problem resolution, timelines, recommendations, and conclusions. Create a process improvement PMO to help with this plus ensure a healthy multi-year pipeline of cost savings initiatives is in place.
- Monitor key metrics and KPIs for performance and process effectiveness. Partner with management to leverage data to prioritize projects, define project requirements, scope, resources, team members, tasks, and project owners.
Qualifications:
- Supply Chain degree, Engineering degree, Business Admin degree or related field; Bachelor’s required
- Lean or Six Sigma certification
- Lead over Kaizen events and Value Stream Analyses
- 5+ years’ experience doing heavy data analysis in Excel and MiniTab
- 3+ years people leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
