Job Title: Controls Engineer

Location: Mossville, IL

Pay Range: $60,000 - $75,000

Overview:

Our company is seeking a Controls Development Engineer to join our Mechatronics team. This position will play a key role in the controls development process and will be the primary resource for prototype software validation on the hardware-in-loop (HIL) bench.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and maintain the hardware-in-loop (HIL) bench.
• Build prototype software.
• Define verification plans and prepare for testing.
• Execute verification testing on the HIL bench.
• Summarize and present test results.
• Debug and troubleshoot software on the HIL bench.
• Calibrate control systems on the bench environment.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Computer engineering with a focus on electrical/electronic control systems or embedded systems.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience (internship experience may be considered).

Skills Required:

• Experience with Matlab/Simulink.
• Experience with Vector tools (Canapé, CANalyzer, etc.).
• Python scripting experience.
• Experience with HIL software validation (dSPACE).
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Communication and technical presentation skills.
• Team player.

Skills Desired:

• Experience with wiring harness builds.
• Engine system knowledge.
• Experience with calibration of closed-loop control systems.
• Self-starter and motivated.
