The Corporate Maintenance Engineer will provide technical support to corporate engineering, plant management, plant maintenance managers, and employees.

Essential Job Duties:
  • Administrates maintenance software, inclusive of new software implementation.
  • Analyzes and evaluates the reliability of products, equipment, components, and processes using engineering methodologies and tools.
  • Develops the methods and measures utilized for reliability analysis based on product specifications, tolerances, or operating standards.
  • Utilizes analysis techniques like FMEA, fault tree, and root cause analysis to identify problems.
  • Creates risk-based failure mitigation plans.
  • Proposes new or revised product designs, manufacturing processes, testing specifications, and maintenance practices (preventive/predictive maintenance) that utilize best practices and increase reliability.
  • Gathers and analyzes data from relevant sources to identify trends and implement changes to improve operating efficiency of facilities, lower costs, and improve safety and quality performance.
  • Coordinates and manages activities, including costs, timelines, and performance agreements relevant to capital and other identified projects.
  • Resources and works as an internal liaison between plant staff and vendors during project planning and implementation.
  • Periodic supervision of projects and employees/staff is required.
  • Note: Accountability of both projects and people should be expected and not need to be stated.
  • Is an active member of the Hoffmaster safety culture by providing active support and participation in safety-related projects.
  • Follows and maintains all Food Safety, GMP and HACCP Guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Experience in technical manufacturing support roles, including internships and co-ops.
  • Strong working knowledge in project management and problem solving/troubleshooting techniques.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • 4-year technical degree in the discipline of engineering.
  • Experience implementing or managing an Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) or Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) a plus.
  • Experience working in paper or film converting and/or printing a plus.
  • Proficiency in computer skills including AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks a plus.
