1) Managing our existing real estate portfolio and drive the growth of that portfolio by playing a central role in the purchase of new properties.
2) Driving other corporate growth initiatives in areas such as manufacturer relations, new market research, and business analytics.
In this position, you would be reporting to the Vice President of Corporate Development in Portland, Oregon. Your ability to effectively manage multiple projects (focusing on key objectives, managing timelines, and developing relationships) is paramount for this individual’s success. The Corporate Real Estate Manager is a hybrid position, based out of Milwaukie, Oregon. This is a high-visibility individual contributor role in which you will collaborate internally with our dealership management, finance & accounting, facilities, manufacturer relations, and executive team, and externally with landlords, brokers, environmental consultants, lenders, and legal counsel. Corporate Real Estate Manager Your Responsibilities
- Perform and manage all facets of due diligence for new real estate purchase and lease opportunities – environmental, surveys, zoning, physical inspection, condition of title, and any other considerations related to location/facility feasibility.
- Review and help negotiate LOIs and purchase agreements for real estate purchases.
- Review and help negotiate new leases and lease renewals.
- Support diligence and documentation process of lenders and financing partners.
- Work with internal business partners to identify, analyze and present business case justification for new real estate opportunities.
- Track real estate market data to support the negotiation process and decision-making.
- Manage real estate transaction timelines and workstreams alongside internal and external partners.
- Implement feedback and help standardize best practices.
- Apply skills to drive corporate initiatives outside of real estate.
Corporate Real Estate Manager Your Background and Skills
- MRED Master’s degree is preferred but a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant area of study (Business, Real Estate, Economics, Finance) or equivalent experience will be considered.
- Minimum 3 years of transactional commercial real estate experience across leasing and acquisitions is mandatory.
- Understanding of real estate principles and concepts. Understanding of real estate principles and concepts.
- Understanding of debt financing instruments; ability to analyze and discuss key terms.
- Experience reviewing and interpreting legal documentation.
- Financial acumen relevant to real estate.
- Exceptional ability to gather, analyze and present findings in executive-level reports.
- Proficient with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to travel up to 10%; note this is a Hybrid role (Office in Milwaukie, Oregon office).
$120,000 - $140,000 additional consideration given to candidate’s level of experience.
