Job description
We are searching for a self-driven and competent Credit Collections Specialist to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for proactively reviewing past-due balances and working internally and externally to resolve those delinquencies. This candidate must dispute, record and track claims with our customers.
What You’ll do:
- Record information in our ERP about the financial status of a customer and the status of collection efforts
- Monitor accounts daily.
- Provide ongoing feedback to management concerning customer accounts.
- Identify and report on specific issues that may negatively impact the accounts receivable
- Recommend areas of opportunity to improve processes and impact business results.
- Collaborates with other departments, including Customer Service, Supply Chain, and Distribution, to resolve discrepancies.
- Research and respond appropriately and in a timely manner to all customer inquiries.
- Prepare detailed reports to explain any past due balances related to unpaid invoices, deductions, or unused credits.
Your Background:
- Strong organizational skills
- Detail oriented
- Previous experience as an A/R or Collections specialist
- Experience working with Retail and Ecom customers such as Walmart and Amazon and their specific portals.
- Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Highly competent in standard software MS Office products (including Excel and Word)
- A personable individual with excellent communication skills who enjoys challenges and can remain professional in a deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to accept and apply critiques and/or feedback and take directions.
