Crisis Care Clinician

Helping those in greatest need is a very rewarding career. Our Crisis Care team meets with individuals who are experiencing a behavioral health emergency. Focus on collaboration with consumer support and recovery-oriented structures. Assessments are completed in our offices, local emergency rooms, police departments, etc.

Hours are primarily Monday-Friday 4:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m.

Crisis evaluation and disposition

Completes mental health and substance abuse assessments/evaluation to individuals presenting in crisis or requested for consult face to face or via tele health.

  • Contacts physician (Psychiatrist or Emergency Department provider) for disposition recommendations
  • Documents within the patient’s medical record(s) within time requirements
  • Completes appropriate paperwork for processing patient assessment/ disposition and legal requirements
  • Case management

Assists team to locate available facilities outside of our local community

Obtaining insurance authorizations

Assist patients to connect to our community’s resources

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $47,882.00 /year+ dependent on experience

Requirements:

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Application of critical thinking
  • Able to separate therapy and counseling from competing an assessment to create a safe disposition related to current presentation reasons/needs
  • Problem solver

  • Collaborates with a variety of personnel and personalities
  • Completes accurate assessment and diagnoses

  • Good written and oral communication.
  • Able to plan and organize their work.
  • Recognizes signs of suicidal behavior

  • Motivated and energetic (work assignments & team support) to support team when needed with a variety of tasks and assessments in multiple locations
  • Utilizes Trauma Informed Care

Requires a Mental Health Professional (MHP): An individual who possesses a bachelor's degree in a helping profession.

Sinnissippi is bound by CMS guidelines related to Covid 19 vaccination. All staff must be fully vaccinated or have an approved medical/spiritual exception accompanied by a weekly testing requirement.
