Location: Benson Primary School
Reports To: Benson Primary School Principal
Start Date: Immediate
Work Hours: 2:00PM - 10:30PM when classes are in session; 6:00AM-2:30PM when classes are not in session
OPEN UNTIL FILLED
Terms and Benefits: 12 month position, 8 hours/day; medical, dental, vision, life benefits; 403(b); 12 sick days and 12 vacation days; preschool/child care discounts; mandatory participation in Arizona State Retirement System.
Summary: Performs routine daily tasks that occur during the school day.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Respond to immediate cleaning requirements during the school day.
- Disinfect surfaces.
- Sweep, mop, and polish floors.
- Vacuum and clean carpets.
- Sanitize restrooms.
- Move furniture and equipment.
- Replace light bulbs and fluorescent tubes.
- Sweep walkways, pick up paper and trash.
- Secure rooms upon completion of work.
- Set up furniture and equipment needed for special events, meetings, and classes.
- Minor repair around campus.
- Distribute interoffice mail.
- Direct traffic at crosswalks.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Must possess a valid Arizona driver’s license.
- Must possess an ability to push, pull, or lift weights of up to 60 pounds.
- Must possess an ability to climb ladders and work in tight spaces

- Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
